After 2020 events will never be the same, but that’s okay!

If you’re curious to know what our event team will be doing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, then listen up! Our event venue is a Washington County venue, therefore we are subject to all rules and regulations created by the State of Utah in terms of COVID-19. We plan to follow those rules to the best of our ability to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all of our attendees, participants, staff, and volunteers. COVID-19 has personally affected our team in a negative way and we want to make sure that we do everything possible to keep people safe so they don’t have to suffer from the terrible effects of this virus.

Here’s our COVID-19 Action Plan:

Ticketing & Masks

The majority of tickets for our event will be sold online to help reduce physical contact. We will also gather information like names and contact information for each attendee when they get their tickets online. Seating will be limited at the event. Where seating is shared our volunteer staff will be regularly cleaning and sanitizing the tables and chairs and all contact points. For the rest of the seating at the event, we will ask individuals to please bring their own chairs and to socially distance themselves wherever possible. Masks will be required where social distancing is not possible.

Signage & Social Distancing

We will provide signs throughout the event reminding attendees to please space out and social distance. We will also only allow members of the same party to share a table and when each party is finished we will sanitize the table and chairs and other contact points to avoid the spread. The outdoor music area of the event will require attendees to bring their own chairs and we will encourage separate households to socially distance. In our workshops, we will also require social distancing and they will be standing room only or we will require attendees to bring their own portable chair to reduce contact.

High-Risk Attendees

We will allow high-risk attendees the opportunity to attend our event one hour prior to it officially opening to the public. This will allow them to tour some vehicles and get a good feel for the event. They will be able to have a special hour from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Event Sanitation

We will have signage throughout the event reminding our attendees to please social distance and to wear masks where possible. We will also have hand sanitizers throughout the event. We will have around 10 large signs at our event and 20 smaller signs scattered throughout the event premises reminding individuals of our COVID-19 precautions. They will be placed in places where possible congregating may occur. They will also be placed at shared spaces like tables and restrooms as well as the entrance of our event so all guests will be notified.

Contactless Payment Options

We will encourage contactless payment options at our merchandise tables. We will also encourage our vendors to use contactless payment options wherever possible. Our food trucks will also be responsible for providing contactless payment options. We will also require attendees to purchase their tickets online to help avoid any potential physical contact.

Dedicated Volunteer Staff

We will have a dedicated volunteer staff for sanitizing high-touch areas including tables, chairs, restroom areas, merchandise areas, etc.. We will also ask our vendors to please provide hand sanitizer at their stations and we will also provide hand sanitizer wherever possible, especially in high-touch areas throughout the event.

Food Preparation

We will also require individuals who will be preparing food to wear gloves while doing so. We will also require all staff/volunteers to wash their hands frequently throughout the event. Masks will be required where social distancing is not possible.

We don’t know where the world will be in terms of COVID-19 by the time we reach our official festival date for Van Fest Utah but we want to make sure we do everything possible to keep everyone healthy and happy.
